Management Team

Our team is made of experienced professionals from leading companies in the Healthcare and Internet industry such as Cyglera, Nutrihand, Alliance Finance, Healthcare Providers and others. We also count on extremely known professionals from the medical, nutrition, fitness and behavioral areas in our staff as well as in our advisory board.

Mick Majid, President & Chief Executive Officer

Mick Majid has over 25 years of experience in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Diagnostics and Health Care Industry.

He has held senior positions in the area of Sales and Marketing, Corporate Business Development, and General Management with leading healthcare companies such as Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Group and Scandipharm in the United States and Canada.

Mick has a broad range of expertise in Healthcare Management, in both Retail and Hospital environments. As a senior executive in the Healthcare Industry, he was responsible for Corporate Business Development Strategies, and Brand Reimbursement Strategies. Mick is noted for his innovative and collaborative approaches in sales and marketing and building effective collaborative customer relationships.


Pamela Piotrowski

Pamela Piotrowski, BASc, RD is an active member of the Dietitians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of Ontario.

With almost 20 years of experience, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Guelph and completed a Clinical Dietetic Internship in Ontario.  In 2002, the Dairy Farmers of Canada awarded Pamela the distinction of Dietitian of the Month for Nutrition Education.

She has worked as a clinical Dietitian in both inpatient and outpatient environments as well as being a health promotion consultant for various non-profit health agencies.  Currently, her private practice FOOD foreTHOUGHT involves nutrition and health promotion consulting to individuals in the community, not-for-profit health agencies, corporate wellness programs, and the foodservice industry.

Pamela has provided nutrition and healthcare communication workshops for various health providers including physicians, nurses, pharmacists and Dietitians and has published articles in various healthcare journals.


Mark McIntyre

Mark McIntyre has been delivering Internet technology solutions to SMEs for 7 years. Mark has been working in the Information Technology field for over 8 years and has served in various capacities including: project management, business development, solutions consulting, and telecommunications management. His career objectives are to introduce companies to available technologies, with the goal of transferring their business processes to information technology strategies, thus improving efficiency, reducing overhead, expanding markets, and improving customer/partner relations.

Mark’s ability to bridge the gap between technology and business objectives is a valuable asset to both partners and clients. He has proven ability to service clients in a variety of industries and markets including: Education, Telecommunications, Software Development, Warehousing and Distribution and Manufacturing.


Advisory Board

Soraya Bittencourt

Former Executive at Microsoft and Time Warner, Soraya has more than 20 years of leadership in the software field. She was the original creator of Microsoft Expedia and launched the first telecommunications satellite in Latin America.

Dr. Shafiq Qaadri

Dr. Shafiq Qaadri is a family physician, Continuing Medical Education (CME) lecturer, medical writer and broadcaster. He writes a monthly column for doctors in The Medical Post (Rogers), and has logged more than 1,000 radio and television shows across Canada.

He is a Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP) of the Government of Canada, and a leader in making health information understandable to the public and physicians alike. Dr. Qaadri has delivered more than 140 medical lectures, and published more than 700 articles, on a wide range of topics. He is a presenter for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association and the Ontario Lung Association. He is the author of the international-selling health manual for baby-boomer men, The Testosterone Factor: A Practical Guide to Vitality and Virility, Naturally, which is now available in 5 countries in 4 languages.

Bernard Shimkovitz

As CEO of Alliance, Mr. Shimkovitz is responsible for the implementation of the company’s business plan, including the acquisition and deployment of large national vendor accounts and strategic partnerships and the development and roll out of new products and services. Mr. Shimkovitz has responsibility for the management of Alliance’s internal and external sales teams and the management of the company’s vendor and end-user marketing programs.

Bernard Shimkovitz was the Executive Vice President of Business Development of Alliance Acceptance Corporation from April 1998 until the creation of Alliance. During this time Mr. Shimkovitz also developed the company’s sale forecasting and management tools as well as vendor oriented reporting functions. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Shimkovitz was the President of Entrepreneurial Ventures Inc., a business development company focusing on distribution channel development for consumer and commercial products.
